We're coming home to the garden, and we'd love you to come with us. New seedlings in about a year. Join the Takara family list

Takara Cactus: more cactus. less drama.

We've missed you.

For several years, you let us share the Tricho lifestyle with you. Every Monday we packed seedlings by hand and sent them to growers all over the country, and somewhere along the way our customers stopped feeling like customers. You felt like family.

When we closed the store, it was so we could focus on our careers and our relationships. It was the right call, and we're grateful for it. Through all of it, the garden stayed our happy place.

Now we're ready to come home to the garden, and to you. We're sowing seed for the next generation of Takara Trichocereus, and our first new offerings are about a year away. We'd love for you to be part of it from the very first seed.

The road back

What happens between now and reopening. We'll share every step with the family list.

  1. Sourcing seed

Gathering seed for the favorites you loved and exciting new hybrids, from domestic and imported sources.

  2. Sowing

Seed goes into the germination trays, and the next generation of Takara seedlings gets its start.

  3. Growing on

Young Trichocereus take months to become healthy, shippable plants. We'd rather wait than rush them to you.

  4. Welcome home

Family list members get first access to the new release, before anyone else.

Words from the family

“Arrived early, I'm overjoyed. Thank you so so much. Beautiful plants as always.”
